SOLD OUT!
The Existence of Harvey Lord
After meeting Harvey Lord briefly at a music festival set in beautiful Fell Foot wood in Cumbria, an email conversation began when home regarding AFR helping to put out a release for Harvey and the rest of the collective known as The Existence of Harvey Lord.
So, here we are now, pleased to bring to you this self titled double CDr album of experimental, eclectic, psych-folk sounds from the 10 piece Lancaster based band. Housed in beautiful handmade recycled woollen pouches designed and made by Harvey, the two albums feature 22 tracks in total, oscillating between vocal and instrumental. With Harvey providing lead vocal and the rest of the band bringing a varied array of instruments to the play, a multicoloured, orchestral soundscape full of depth and detail flows forth creating varied flavours of psychedelic folk/jazz and hints of Americana and pastoral British acoustic folk that fans of Akron/Family, early Banhart and other strains of alt. folk released of late may enjoy. From thought provoking and surreal to tales of life and its encounters within one's own landscape, Harvey's lyrics transport the listener straight to his world that vividly unfolds with every word and poetic phrase.
A beautiful collection of recordings from a band that is quickly making itself heard within the UK and, with only 50 hand numbered copies available to you, this is an album to secure and enjoy immensely.
