Autumn Ferment Records Tree Grove

Autumn Ferment Records greatly supports the work of the Scottish charity Trees For Life who are helping to restore the native flora in the highlands of Scotland.

The Caledonian 'Wild Wood', consisting of Scots pine, rowan, hazel, alder, willow and many other species of trees and flowers,  once covered 1.5 million hectares in the highlands but now sadly only 1% of this varied ecosystem remains. In 1989 Trees For Life began restoration work within the third largest remaining section of native woodland in the beautiful Glen Affric and since then over 600,000 trees have been planted.

This has been carried out over the years by a dedicated team and a large number of volunteers  taking part in tree planting Work Weeks where volunteers spend a week in Glen Affric and surrounding areas planting trees, collecting seed and learning about the diverse ecosystem of the Caledonian forest.  Trees For Life also offer tree dedications where a tree, or even a whole grove, can be planted on behalf of a loved one or for a special occasion.

Autumn Ferment Records decided that, come the first release, a grove of trees will be planted in Glen Affric to celebrate the birth of the label. Trees will be added to the grove when a new record is released.
